Dr. Ren-Dar Yang is the Vice President and Director General in the Innovative Digitech-Enabled Applications & Services Institute (IDEAS), Institute for Information Industry (III) since 2008. He leads the IDEAS group to apply a systematic approach, Service Experience Engineering (SEE), which assists local firms in their quest to develop successful new business models and to promote innovative services to the world. Dr. Yang served as Executive Vice President with Fixed Income Information Planning Department in Taiwan Depository and Clearing Corporation during 2006-2007.
Dr. Yang's received the MS degree in 1984 and Ph.D. degree in 1990 majoring in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan.


Lab Introduction

The Innovative DigiTech-Enabled Applications & Services Institute (IDEAS) at the Institute for Information Industry (III) was created with multiple goals in mind. Among these goals are:
to assist the Taiwanese government in its efforts to facilitate and create innovative new Information / Communications Technology (ICT) applications and services,
to assist local industries in their adoption and usage of these advanced technologies, and
to create innovative applications and business models based on these new technologies that will ultimately increase the value of products and services offered by Taiwanese firms, both domestically and internationally.
