Arata KAWAMURA received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Tottori University, Japan, in 1995 and 2001, respectively, and the D.E. degree from Osaka University, Japan, in 2005. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University, Japan. His research interests are in the area of signal processing, especially speech processing.

My research group has been working on speech signal processing and adaptive signal processing.
Our research topics are as follows:
- Speech spectral amplitude estimator based on MAP estimation
- Impact noise suppression in zero phase domain
- Inverse notch filter / Comb filter design
- Adaptive notch filter
- Howling suppressor
