Jiaying Liu is an Associate Professor with the Institute of Computer Science and Technology, Peking University. She received the B.E. degree in computer science from Northwestern Polytechnic University, Xi?n, China, and the Ph.D. degree with the Best Graduate Honor in computer science from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 2005 and 2010, respectively. She was a Visiting Scholar with the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, from 2007 to 2008. Her current research interests include image processing, sparse signal representation, and video compression. Dr. Liu has published 50+ research papers, and filed 20+ patents with 7 granted. She has won first prize of Teaching Skills Competition of Peking University and second prize of the Association of Computer Education in Beijing Colleges and Universities.


Lab Introduction

STRUCT group is in the Institute of Computer Science and Technology at Peking University. The group is devoted to theoretical studies and practical applications of image/video processing, multimedia communications, and computer vision. Current research activities of the lab include: Super-resolution, frame rate conversion, video compression, and video quality assessment.
