Kao-Shing Hwang is a professor of Electrical Engineering Department at National Sun Yat-sen University and an adjunct professor of Electrical Engineering Department at Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. He received the M.M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Com-puter Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, I. L., U.S.A., in 1989 and 1993, re-spectively. He was a design engineer at the SANYO Electric Co., Taipei, Taiwan during 1983-1985 and joined the C&D Microsystem Co., Plastow, N.H., USA, as a system programmer in 1989. Since August 1993 he has been with National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. He was the chairman of the Electrical Engineering Department (2003~2006) and was the chairman of the Opti-mechatronics Institute of the university(2010~2011).
