Prof. Kuo, CHih-Hung, received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the National Tsing Hua University, Department of Electrical Engineering, in 1992 and 1994.Then he got his Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, U.S.A. in 2003. He is currently a Associate Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan (R.O.C.).

His specialist and current study is in the field of Digital Video and Audio Compression, Digital Communication System Design. Now he is engaged in researching Data Compression, Digital Signal Communication,H.264/AVC/SVC imaging coding system design, and digital compensation for wireless commutation system.

He has served the plan for training the potential specialists in SOC system design and involved System Level Design (SLD) allies, which exploring related electrical system level design and alien integrated system design lecture. He is experienced in system level design of image processing, and publishing many papers relating multimedia communication subjects as well.

Lab Introduction

The Lab was established in 2005, located in the 5th Floor, Chi-May Building in Zei Chung campus, National Chen Kung University. The environment in our Lab is clean, manageable and compact, well-light with perfect view.

Now, there are 9 graduated students and 1 Ph.D candidate here. Prof. Kuo, Chih-Hung is our advisor. Our Lab is like a family, every member here is lovely, friendly and warm-hearted, mutual relationship and good friendship is going smoothly.

We are working on Digital Image Processing, Data compression and related subjects, requiring in fundamentals and application systems. Moreover, we focus on how to explore the novel method about the digital image aspects as sending, coding, decoding, processing and applying them to the real world. You are very welcome to join us.
