Wei.-Ru. Lai received her BS CSIE degree and Ph.D. degree from Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Chiao Tung University in 1991 and 1999, respectively.
In 1999, she was appointed as an assistant professor of Department of Information Management, Chin-Min College. From 2001 to 2008, she was an associate professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, Yuan Ze University. She is currently an assistant professor of Department of Communications Engineering in Yuan Ze University.Her professional research interests include design and analysis of personal communications services network, in particular on the radio resource management for cellular systems.

The Personal Communications Services carries out research on the design and analysis of personal communications services network, in particular on the radio resource management for cellular systems. Our main focus lies on the studies of self-organizing network, picocell planning, and the integration of heterogeneous cognitive radio systems. Another Lab research topics is the studies of admission control and load balancing on WiFi APs for the purpose of integrating LTE and WiFi systems finally.
